OFF TOPIC: “Persons Unknown”

I say “Off Topic” because my original intent was to restrict this blog to science fiction—predominantly my own projects. However, I just had to write about this brand new show that I had never heard of before and just finished watching. Read more

UPDATE: Star Trek Soldiers of Pawns: “War and Peace”

Hello, readers. I hope all my fellow Americans out there had a wonderful Thanksgiving. My wife and I sure did. Well, I finished chapter 7 today—a chapter with a scene on the Enterprise bridge, followed by a scene on the Farragut bridge, followed by a scene on the Enterprise bridge, followed by a scene on the Farragut bridge. UPDATE: Star Trek Soldiers of Pawns: “War and Peace”

As I said in my previous post, I spent that day writing the first part of chapter 7, which takes place on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise. I devoted my writing time yesterday to polishing those pages. Today I moved on to the next scene in that chapter…a scene that takes place on the bridge of the Starship Farragut. Read more

UPDATE: Star Trek Soldiers of Pawns: “War and Peace”

I got a real good start on chapter 7 today. We’ve left the Earth and spent 5 full pages aboard the Enterprise under the command of Captain Robert April. But his is not the only familiar name we’ve encountered. Read more

UPDATE: Star Trek Soldiers of Pawns: “War and Peace”

Today I began chapter 6, and tonight I completed it. The morning after that important night. A boy and his dog…sort of…a boy and his dad, and a boy in the tree. Read more

UPDATE: Star Trek Soldiers of Pawns: “War and Peace”

The Publisher and the Better Business Bureau

Some of you know that I have a few issues with the company that published The Call of Duty. Those issues have often made me wonder how, according to the publisher’s website, they could possibly have earned an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Friday night I saw a report about the BBB on the news, and now I think I know the answer. Read more

Star Trek Phase-II: “To Boldly Go”

This is a project I have not mentioned here until now. Some of you know that I am a member of the Star Trek Phase-II production team. I have worked as a Production Assistant, a bit part player (thanks for the correction, Pony), a Unit Production Manager, a Second Assistant Director, and an Assistant to the Line Producer—my current roll. Well, I’ve also written and submitted a script. Read more

UPDATE: Star Trek Soldiers of Pawns: “War and Peace”

It is official. The scene between George Kirk and his father is part of chapter 4. It works much better that way. I have just finished it, and I have to say…I am emotionally drained. It is a very powerful scene. Chapter 5 continues that same night in the story, but as I write this I am in need of a break to regather my energy.

UPDATE: “Solfleet: Beyond the Call”

Yes, Solfleet fans, I am finally posting a few words about book 2… Solfleet: Beyond the Call. First, I want to thank you all for your patience and understanding regarding the delays. Second, because you have been so kind, I have decided to reverse my earlier decision and give up a little bit of very general information about book 2 by answering a couple of the most common questions I am asked. If you have not yet read The Call of Duty, I suggest you not read the rest of this post until you have done so. So, here goes… Read more
